Website design for landscapers, $997 fixed, live by Friday
Your website has 1 job. Turn the person comparing 3 quotes into the person who calls you. It goes live by Friday once you approve the design.
5 things the best landscaping websites do
I pulled apart the websites of the highest-rated landscaping companies I could find. Then the lowest-rated ones with public complaint trails. The pattern was clear.
- A page per service. Retaining walls, paving, turf, decking, garden design, maintenance. Each one can show up on Google on its own. Every top site I looked at does this. It's one of the strongest things a site can do for getting found.
- Prices hidden, and proof everywhere. Nearly every top site sends you to a quote instead of a price. That only works when the page is full of proof you can check. Exact review counts, years in business, named people, suburbs served. Hidden prices with weak proof is what the worst-reviewed sites do.
- The quote button repeats, but each time for a reason. "Request a Quote" next to the work. Then "View Our Portfolio". Each one has its own job.
- Numbers that are oddly specific. "4.81 stars from 22,366 reviews" (a US landscaper) beats "highly rated". Round numbers read as marketing. Specific ones read as evidence.
- The customer's fear is answered in the headline. The best commercial landscaping copy names the worry before it pitches the service. One commercial landscaper's headline names the client's fear with "You can't afford embarrassment" before it pitches.
Your customer isn't really deciding on price
I read Australian homeowners talking about hiring landscapers and garden operators. The biggest complaint is being ghosted. Quotes that don't turn up, and calls that don't come back.
"I ended up going with the one who actually called me back the next day to check in. Paid more than two of the others and didn't really care." Reddit user, r/AusRenovation
Buyers read a fast reply as a sign of good work. A site that says plainly when you reply, and what happens after the quote, answers the real question. So does saying the price is agreed before the job starts. Hardly any site I looked at does this.
2 builds and a plan for landscapers
Standard website
$997
A page per service. A quote path you can use with your thumb on a phone. Your real proof laid out so it can be checked. 1 call, live by Friday once you approve the design.
3D website
$1,997
For design-and-build studios that win work on how they come across. Your garden becomes a world people walk through on their phone.
Done For You plan
$97 / month
Either build at half price. It's yours outright once the website's value is paid. Then I handle hosting and upkeep, domain setup, speed work, regular updates and a monthly stats report. Your prices change, you tell me, I change the site.
Once the site is up, Local SEO works on getting it into the Google map results for your suburbs. It's $397 a month. It aims for the top 3 in Google's map results, for terms we agree in writing first. If you are not higher on the map than the day we started after the first 90 days, I keep working and the monthly fee stops until you are. This promise sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing here takes those away.
4 questions landscapers ask me
Should a landscaping website show prices?
The best-reviewed landscapers I looked at almost all send you to a quote instead of a price. The price really does depend on the site and the job. That only works if the page is full of proof you can check instead. Insurance, ABN, real review counts, named people, suburbs served. Hidden prices plus vague proof is what the worst-reviewed sites do.
What pages does a landscaping website need?
A page per service, each with its own job. Retaining walls, paving, turf, decking, garden design, maintenance. Every top site I looked at does this. It's also one of the strongest things a site can do for showing up on Google. Each page can rank for its own search term.
How much does a landscaping website cost?
I build a landscaping website for a fixed $997. Or $499 upfront on the Done For You plan at $97 a month. That covers hosting and upkeep, domain setup, speed work, regular updates and a monthly stats report. 1 call of 30 minutes, then live by Friday once you approve the design. The cost guide shows what the rest of the market charges.
Do you build for landscapers outside Sydney?
Yes. I'm in Sydney and build for landscapers anywhere in Australia. It all happens on 1 call.
