Lawn care websites for the customer whose last guy stopped answering

The person on your website is usually not a first-time buyer. Their last operator stopped answering the phone. None of the sites I looked at are written for them. Yours can be.

Your visitor has been let down before

I read the reviews of lawn and garden operators across Sydney's south and the Illawarra. I also read the threads where Australian homeowners talk about hiring them. Almost every new-customer review I read tells the story of a switch. The last guy ghosted them, or left the job half done and charged anyway.

"I asked for lawn mowing, whipper snipping and garden tidy up. That's not what I got. The grass was mowed. Part of the whipper snipping was done. No garden tidy up, and clippings left everywhere. I emailed the guy and got zero response." Review of a lawn operator, ProductReview.com.au

The competitor sites I found all write for a first-time buyer. "Yard out of control?" That sort of line. Not one says "your last guy stopped answering". That's an open lane.

They decide on how fast you reply

"I ended up going with the one who actually called me back the next day to check in. Paid more than two of the others and didn't really care." Reddit user, r/AusRenovation

Buyers use how fast you reply as a stand-in for how well you work. Not one operator I found in Sydney's south or the Illawarra promises a reply time. So a plain line on your site stands on its own. Something like "text or call and you'll hear back the same day". People can check it. And it answers the number 1 reason people leave.

The 5 blocks, top to bottom

  • Top of the page: what you do, where you work, and how to reach you. Easy to tap with a thumb on a phone.
  • Right under it, the switcher block: name what it feels like to be let down. Then answer it point by point. You turn up, you text back, you finish the list, you clean up, the price is agreed first.
  • Proof people can check: insured, ABN, the suburbs you cover, your real review count. A "Sydney local" badge with nothing behind it doesn't count.
  • A starting price, if you have one. And the line that matters more: the price is agreed before the job starts.
  • Reviews that name the person. In the reviews I read, customers talk about the operator more than the business.

About the standard build

Done For You plan

$97 / month

The same website at $499 upfront. It's yours outright once the website's value is paid. Then I handle hosting and upkeep, domain setup, speed work, regular updates and a monthly stats report. Your prices change, you tell me, I change the site.

How the plan works

Mowing is repeat work. For that kind of business, the Google map results for your suburbs are where the calls come from. Local SEO works on exactly that. It's $397 a month. It aims for the top 3 in Google's map results, for terms we agree in writing first. If you are not higher on the map than the day we started after the first 90 days, I keep working and the monthly fee stops until you are. This promise sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing here takes those away.

4 questions lawn operators ask me

What should a lawn mowing website say?

Say when you reply. Tell them you turn up, finish the whole list and clean up. Add that the price is agreed before the job. Those are the 5 things homeowners say their last operator failed at. Almost none of the competitor sites I found answer any of them.

Should I put my prices on the website?

A starting price helps. Almost nobody publishes a price. One local operator I found shows "Small lawns starting from $50". What matters more is saying the price is agreed before the job starts. The buyer's fear is being taken.

How much does a website cost for a gardening business?

I build it for a fixed $997. Or $499 upfront on the Done For You plan at $97 a month. That covers hosting and upkeep, domain setup, speed work, regular updates and a monthly stats report. A 30-minute call, live by Friday once you approve the design.

Can the website help me get found in my suburb?

Google can read every word, and each page is labelled the way Google expects. Getting into the Google map results for your suburbs is a separate monthly job. My Local SEO plan works on that. The full terms are on its page.
