A 3D world you move through, $1,997 fixed
A site you walk through on your phone, with no app and no plugin. Any device that can't run it gets a fast flat version instead.
The demo is my own site
My home page is 1 continuous 3D world. No pages and no sections. The guarantee, the recent work, the prices and the ownership terms are all objects in that space. Scrolling flies you between them.
The portfolio panels inside that world are live, working websites. If the work doesn't convince you, nothing on this page should.
What $1,997 gets you
A set build. You know what's in it before I start.
A world built around your business
I design the scene around what your business actually is. So the space means something instead of just decorating. Everything in the standard build is in here too, except the Friday timeframe.
A flat version with every build
A full flat site made from the same words. Anyone whose device can't run the world sees it instead, with no click needed. Same words and same prices on both, so they can't disagree.
Built so Google can read it
Google gets every word as plain text, labelled the way it expects. There's a map of the pages too, so Google can find them all. A 3D site Google can't read is an expensive way to be invisible.
The part a lot of 3D sites get wrong
Text drawn inside a WebGL canvas is invisible to Google. WebGL is the part of a browser that draws 3D. The canvas is the box it draws into. So Google sees nothing at all. That's worse than ranking badly. Some beautiful 3D sites I've seen can't be found at all. The site looks perfect to the owner, and the owner isn't the person searching for it.
Every 3D build I do ships with a full flat copy, made from the same source as the world. Google reads that. People get the world. Neither costs the other anything. The flat version is laid out with care, too.
- No WebGL on the device, or an old machine: the flat version, with no click needed.
- Reduced motion turned on in the phone's settings: respected, no click needed.
- Google reading the page: a full page of text it can read.
The price is $1,997, fixed
You get the price before the build starts, as one set build.
When you shouldn't buy a 3D site
Often you shouldn't. A 3D build earns its place when the first impression is doing real work for the business. That's when you win work on how you come across. Or when you sell something visual that deserves a proper look. A crowded market counts too.
If the job is mainly getting found and getting phone calls, the $997 standard build does that better for less. The money you save does more good spent on getting found. If that's true for you, I'll say so.
6 questions people ask me
What is a 3D website?
A 3D website draws its content as a real 3D scene inside the browser. It uses WebGL, the part of a browser that draws 3D. You move through a space where the content exists as objects. It runs in today's browsers.
How much does a 3D website cost in Australia?
I build them at a fixed $1,997 AUD, as a set build. You know the number before the build starts.
Do 3D websites show up on Google?
They can be bad for showing up on Google, if the words live only inside the 3D scene. Text drawn into the canvas, the box the 3D is drawn into, is invisible to Google. The page reads as blank. From what I've seen, it's the most common and most costly mistake in 3D sites. Every 3D build I do ships with a full flat version made from the same words. Google gets a full page to read.
Do 3D websites work on phones and older computers?
Every build I do ships with a flat version that carries the same words. If a device can't run WebGL or is low powered, it gets the flat version. Same if reduced motion is turned on. No click needed. You won't see a blank screen or a note telling you to come back on a better device.
How long does a 3D website take to build?
Longer than a standard website, because the world has to be designed as well as the words. I agree the time frame with you before the build starts.
Is a 3D website right for my business?
Often it isn't, and I'll tell you so. If the job is mainly getting found and getting calls, the $997 standard build does that better for less.
