A ChatGPT ads agency you pay after you see results
I'm Remo. I run a web studio in Sydney. I set up and run ChatGPT ads for Australian businesses. The first month is free. You just cover your own ad spend. Then, if you want to keep those results coming, we sort out a rev-share or a retainer.
What an ads agency usually charges you
Most agencies I've seen bill 2 ways. A fee to set the campaign up, then a fee every month to run it. Some take a cut of what you spend on the ads as well.
That money leaves whether the ads bring you work or not. For a big brand it's fair enough. For a business with 2 vans it's a bet on something that hasn't been proven here yet.
What I do instead
Most marketing agencies charge you thousands before you see any results. No setup fee here, and no monthly fee. The only money moving is your ad spend, and that goes to OpenAI.
You pay OpenAI for each click, which is someone tapping the ad. You pay us nothing unless the ads make you money. Then we take a percentage of it, agreed in writing before we start.
The deal is further down this page.
What I actually do in a month
- Write the hints that tell ChatGPT which chats your ad belongs in. OpenAI calls them context hints. They guide the match. They don't promise you a spot in any one chat.
- Write the ad. It's a title, a few lines of copy, and the page it sends people to.
- Point it at a page that can take a call. If yours can't do that on the first screen, I fix that first.
- Read the numbers every day. Views, clicks, what a click cost you, and spend.
- Put tags on the link, so your own tools can see the visit came from ChatGPT.
- Change what isn't working. Some things are locked once a campaign is live, so I build a fresh one.
- Read OpenAI's rules again each month. Its ad tool is still in testing, what OpenAI calls a beta, and it keeps changing.
What I can't promise you
No Australian trade has published a result. Neither have I. If someone quotes you a number for a business like yours, ask them where it came from.
I can't promise your suburb either. The reason is on how ChatGPT decides who sees your ad.
Why it's only 10 businesses a month
A spot is a month of daily work on one account. The numbers get read every morning. The hints get rewritten when the wrong chats turn up. A campaign gets rebuilt when a setting is locked. Then there's the page the ad lands on. Ten of those fit in a month. Eleven does not.
If the 10 are taken when you call, the next spot is next month.
3 questions owners ask before they hand this over
Why would you work for nothing?
My team picked this up about a month ago. Almost no business in Australia is running them yet. That is what I see from the work, not a number anyone has published. Working for free, while you cover your own ad spend, is what it takes to show you it's real. In the free month, we don't get paid if you don't get paid. Once you have seen the results, we sort out a rev-share or a retainer to keep them coming.
How does the ad account work?
We set the ad account up on the call. You see every dollar of ad spend in it. You pay OpenAI for the clicks, not me. If the ads make you nothing, you pay us nothing. You will have paid OpenAI for the clicks, and that is all.
What do you need from me to start?
A page or a phone number for the ad to point at. What a job is worth to you, in your own numbers. And someone who answers the phone. That is everything I need to start.
Let ChatGPT show your business to high-intent customers
- ChatGPT has released paid ads, and this changes the marketing game absolutely.
- If you missed out on Facebook ads in 2007, where anything you posted would have popped off, don't miss out on the next big ad platform.
- Unlike Facebook, where people get interrupted mid doom-scroll, ChatGPT shows your business to people who are already researching something related.
- That makes ChatGPT a cheat code. The engine your customers ask for advice shows your business right under its answer.
- Most marketing agencies charge you thousands before you see any results.
- We work for you, for free. You just cover your own ad spend. The first month is free, so you see the results for yourself before you pay us anything.
- Then, if you want to keep getting those results month after month, we sort out a rev-share or a retainer. A rev-share is a cut of what it makes you. A retainer is a flat monthly fee. Agreed in writing before month 2 starts.
- In the free month, we don't get paid if you don't get paid. After that, it's the rev-share or the retainer you chose.
- Only 10 a month. The work up front is heavy and brings us no income at first. That is all we can take.
If the ads make you nothing, you pay us nothing and we stop there. You will have paid OpenAI for the clicks, and that is all.
